GPD Chief Asks For Nearly a Million Dollars in Overtime For FESTPAC Security

Chief Joseph Cruz wrote a letter to public safety committee chairman Senator Frank Aguon Jr. requesting a total of $939,492.22 cents for overtime for officers from various public safety agencies to provide security for FESTPAC.

Guam – The Chief of Police is requesting for nearly a million dollars in overtime for FESTPAC.

 

 Chief Joseph Cruz wrote a letter to public safety committee chairman Senator Frank Aguon Jr. requesting a total of $939,492.22 cents for overtime for officers from various public safety agencies to provide security for the Festival of the Pacific Arts. FESTPAC is a two week event scheduled to begin on May 23rd. The request includes the cost to provide dignitary protection, advanced security, housing security, static security, event security, roving patrols, traffic control, marine patrol and support services.

  1. Crime is being committed as we speak without the participants…don’t use fes pac to unwisely spend the people’s money…demand that the illegal pay raises be return immediately for police needs….
