GPD conducting traffic crash follow-up investigation

On November 14, 2021, in the early morning hours in Piti along Route 1, patrol officers from Southern Precinct Command responded to a traffic crash. The preliminary investigation was initiated and forwarded to the Guam Highway Patrol Division for their follow-up investigation.

On December 1, 2021, as a result of their follow-up investigation, personnel from Guam Highway Patrol Division arrested: 24-year-old, Jose Valenzuela Aguon of Chalan Pago for Unsafe Lane Change, Speeding in a Posted Zone, Reckless Driving, Reckless Driving with injuries (2), Reckless Driving While Impaired, Driving while Impaired with Bodily Injuries (2), and Driving While Impaired with Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.08% or More and No Seatbelt.

AGUON was booked and confined at the Department of Corrections and the case is now closed and forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
