Guam -The Guam Police Department has announced that DUI checkpoints will be set up at various locations around the island this weekend.
According to a release from GPD Spokesman A.J. Balajadia, the checkpoints will be in operation on Friday night at 6pm until 6am Saturday morning, and again on Saturday night during the same time period.
The checkpoints will be set up on all major roadways including Rt.1, Rt.4, Rt.8, Rt.10, Rt.16, and the Tumon Area.
Officer Balajadia says that if weather hampers setting up Checkpoints, officers will conduct roving DUI enforcement.
