Guam – Guam Police are investigating the death of a boy found in the Gil Baza subdivision in Yigo early this morning [Monday].
GPD Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that officers responded to a call of an injured person and found the lifeless body of a teenage boy.
Officer Balajadia says that the boy was already dead when officers arrived at the scene. He did not know the age. Balajadia says the case has been referred to the criminal investigations unit. He could not provide any details on how the boy died.
Meanwhile, Guam Fire Department Spokesman Joey San Nicolas reports that an ambulance was dispatched to the scene on Chalan Somnak at 4:20 am following a 911 call reporting that a male minor was unconscious and not breathing. He says CPR was performed on the boy en-route to Guam Memorial Hospital, but to no avail.
An autopsy is expected to take place Tuesday to determine the cause of death. The boy’s identity has not been released.
