On Saturday, September 11, 2021, at around 8:30 p.m., traffic investigators assigned to GPD’S Highway Patrol Division were activated to assume a fatal auto-ran-off roadway crash that occurred in Piti by Jesus Alig St.

Preliminary reports suggest that a black Hyundai Tucson was traveling south by Polaris Point when the vehicle ran off the roadway and collided with a utility pole.

A 29-year-old female was declared dead at the scene, as two other female occupants were transported to Naval Hospital Guam and Guam Memorial Hospital for treatment and care.

This case remains open as traffic investigators have yet to determine if speed, alcohol, or drugs were factors in the crash.
