GPD investigating shooting incident in Merizo

The Guam Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred today in Merizo.

Early reports suggest that shortly after noon, the Southern Precinct Command officers went to a home along South Doyle Street in Merizo relative to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they noted a male with a gunshot wound to his leg area.

The victim was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment.

Detectives from GPD’s Criminal Investigation Division were immediately activated to assume the investigation.

The case is ongoing.
