GPD makes additional arrests in Tamuning stabbing case

On December 25, 2020, detectives assigned to GPD’S Criminal Investigation Division were able to locate Ronant Chutaro, who was wanted for questioning relative to a death investigation that occurred on December 8, 2020, in Tamuning.

He was located with 28-year-old Mathinia Atiput at a home along Swamp Road in Dededo. Mathinia Atiput was arrested for hindering apprehension.

Detectives continued to work diligently to hold those accountable that aided Ronant Chutaro in avoiding capture by police.

On December 29, 2020, the following individuals were also arrested for hindering
apprehension:

= 25-year-old//male// Tyson Johnny Teliu
He was booked and released.

= 28-year-old//female// Arsina Opich
She was booked and released.

= 24-year-old//male// John Ehmnes Kelly was also arrested for:

  • Hindering apprehension
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II and
  • Warrant of Arrest

He was booked and confined at the Department of Corrections.

Through the course of the investigation and the search for Ronant Chutaro, detectives along with investigators from GPD’S Special Investigations Section and the Federal Task Force, arrested the following individuals for the following offenses:

28-year-old//male// Scott Marco’s Soram
– Purchase and Possession/Use or Carry a Firearm without a Valid Identification
– Unregistered Firearms
– Concealed Firearms without Valid Identification

He was booked and confined at the Department of Corrections.

29-year-old//male// AK Atty
– Purchase or Possession/Use or Carry Firearms without Valid Identification
– Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II

He was booked and confined at the Department of Corrections.

All individuals that were confined at the Department of Corrections were tested by GPD personnel for COVID-19 which yielded negative results.

This case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
