GPD Makes DUI Arrest in Last Friday’s Rollover Ax in Upper Tumon


Guam – Guam Highway Patrol has arrested a 48 year old Tamuning woman on drunk driving chargers for an accident that occurred last Friday, February 28th.

Nora Caparros Del Rosario has been charged with  Reckless Driving, DUI, and DUI a blood alcohol content greater than .08.

She has been booked and confined.

Del Rosario had to be rescued from her vehicle after it rolled over on Marine Corp Drive and caught fire in front of the K-Mart in Upper Tumon last Friday night.

According to a release from GPD PIO Officer A.J. Balajadia, the accident happened about 10:30 pm.

Offcier Balajadia states that the investigation revealed that: “a red RAV 4 was at a stopped position in the inner left turn lane of Route 1 into Kmart when Ms. Del Rosario, who was motoring west on Route 1, sideswiped the passenger side of the RAV 4 forcing it into the concrete median.

“Ms. Del Rosario continued across the intersection and collided into the raised concrete median causing the vehicle to roll onto its’ roof and come to a stop on the middle west bound lane of Route 1 just past JFK Road.”
