Five were recognized for the Guam Police Department’s Top 5 Service Award and Unit Citation of the Excellence on May 4 at GPD Headquarters in Tiyan.

GPD Chief Stephen Ignacio expressed his gratitude, highlighting officers and civilian employees for their hard work and continued efforts to the island community.

Police Officer of the year was awarded to Police Officer I, Eric Barcinas a Detective with the Crimes against Persons Unit with the Criminal Investigation Section.

The Civilian of the year was recognized by Jenny Kristie Wolford a Property Control Officer

The Supervisor of the year award went to Police Officer III, Jimmy Rosete.

The Manager of the year award was bestowed to Police Sergeant II, John Gamboa.

Additionally, the Civilian Police Reserve of the year award was received by Louie Joe Perez.

The Unit Citation was awarded to the Forensic Science Bureau.
