GPD: Robert Mariano Charfauros Jr. Arrested for Sunday Assault and Robbery in Agat

Guam – Guam Police have arrested Robert Mariano Charfauros Jr. in connection with a robbery at the Agat Bay Pavilion on Sunday evening.

The Agat Bay Pavillion is located across the street from the Agat 76 Gas Station.

According to a release from GPD PIO Officer A.J. Balajadia,the victim in the crime was playing cards with another man when 3 men reportedly came up to him and punched his face, beat him to the ground and stomped on him. The trio took his wallet and then fled.

The man was transported to Naval Hospital for treatment of injuries to his face, ribs, and legs. 

On Monday night, the Agat Precinct followed up on the crime and and arrested Charfauros who has been booked and confined on robbery and assault charges.

Sunday, October 14, 2012, 11:55pm, officers with the Agat Precinct were dispatched to the Agat Bay Pavillion, across the Agat 76 Gas Station, in reference to a robbery incident.  The victim reported that he was at the location playing cards with a male individual.  Three male individuals came up to him and started beating him to the ground where they stomped him and punched him on the face.  They took his wallet and fled the area.  He sustained injuries to his face, ribs, and legs.  The victim was transported to NRMC for treatment.

Last Night, Monday, October 15, 2012, Agat Precincts night shift conducted a follow up investigation and arrested.

ROBERT MARIANO CHARFAUROS JR. who was arrested for ROBBERY and ASSAULT he was booked and confined.


Last Night, Tuesday, October 15, 2012 at around 8:30pm, a female was attempting to place her groceries into her vehicle while in the parking lot of Tamuning Oka Payless, she turned and observed a male possibly Micronesian pulling at her bag. The male managed to get possession of her bag and ran into the front passenger seat of a Red Toyota Corolla that was parked by her drivers side, she witnessed about 4-5 males in the vehicle.  The victim was not injured during this purse snatching (Robbery).


Criminal Investigations detectives are investigating allegations made by a female who reported that at 5:00am, Monday, October 15, 2012, she got into her vehicle which was parked at Crown Bakery, Barrigada.  A male individual who was hiding inside the back seat forced her to drive to another location where by the female reports that she had been a victim of Criminal Sexual Conduct, Assault and Robbery.

This is an activate investigation and a priority for the detectives at criminal investigations, there have asked to to not disclose the details of this case so that the investigation is not jeopardized.
