GPD Sargent Arrested on Assault and Disorderly Conduct Charges

Guam – A Guam Police Sargent has been arrested on charges of assault and disorderly conduct following a bar fight at the “Embassy Club in Dededo early last Friday morning.

Guam Police PIO Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that Dededo Precinct Officers responded to a disturbance call at 12:52 am Friday morning in the Daily Plaza across from the Dededo Flea Market.

42 year old GPD Sargent  John C. Aguon was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Assault. He was booked and released

Officer Balajadia reports that because Aguon is a Police Sergeant an Internal Affairs investigation has been lunched into the incident.

One other person was also arrested: 36 year old Reynald C. Cayabyab of Dededo was taken in on charges of Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Intoxication. He was booked and confined.

ARRESTED PERSONS (DISTURBANCE)

March 11, 2011 at about 12:52am, officers from Dededo Precinct Command received a call of a possible disturbance at the “Embassy Club” in Daily Plaza Dededo (across the Dededo Flea Market).

A disturbance had taken place within the club and as a result two people had been assaulted.

Arrested; John C. Aguon,m/Gua/42/Tamuning for Disorderly Conduct and Assault. He was booked and released

Arrested; Reynald Cayabyab Cayabyab,m/Fil/36/Dededo for Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Intoxication. He was booked and confined.

Since John C. Aguon is a Police Sergeant with the Guam Police Department, an investigation has been lunched with GPD Internal Affairs.

March 10, 2011, 4:00am, while making periodic checks at the Yona Mobil Station, officers notice three young males acting suspicious while hanging around their vehicle.  While the officers questions the three men, one of them started pacing back and forth by the driver side door, and would look inside the vehicle.  The persons actions caught the officers attention and one of the officers shined his flashlight into the window. The officer noticed drug paraphernalia.

Arrested; Derrick Clayton Quinata Ferejan,m/Gua/25/Mangilao, for Illegal Possession of a Scheduled II Controlled Substance and Illegal Possession of a Scheduled I Controlled Substance.  He was booked and confined.
