GPD seeks community help in Dededo robbery

The Guam Police Department is seeking help from the community relative to a robbery that occurred on Sunday, May 10, shortly after 6 am, at a home on West San Antonio in Dededo.

According to GPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao, preliminary police reports suggest that the victim had parked her green 1995 Toyota Hilux truck bearing GLP# BR998, in front of a residence on West San Antonio, in Dededo.

The victim briefly proceeded back into the home and had left the truck on.

As the victim returned to the truck, an unidentified man was within the vehicle and attempted to leave as the victim grabbed onto the truck’s front driver’s side door to prevent the man from leaving.

While in the process, the victim fell down and was subsequently ran over by the truck. The victim was later transported to Guam Regional Medical City for treatment and care.

The suspect was described as possibly local with a medium build and medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and dark shorts.

The Guam Police Department is now seeking help from the community relative to this robbery complaint. If anyone witnessed this incident or may have any information, call GPD’s dispatchers at 472-8911 or the Dededo Precinct at 632-9808.
