Guam police are asking for the public’s help in their search for the man who robbed the Yona Mobil station last Saturday night.
Guam police spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao reports that officers from the Central Precinct Command were called to the gas station about 7 p.m. June 6 on a robbery complaint.
A man armed with a knife had entered the station’s mini-mart, went up to the cash register and demanded money.
Sgt. Tapao reports that the cashier, fearing for her life, immediately complied and handed over an unknown amount of cash from the store’s register to the man.
The robber then fled on foot down Artemio A. Cruz Street towards the GHURA housing area.
The store employee was unharmed.
The robber is described as a heavy set local man standing 5-feet 5-inches.
He was last seen wearing a black backpack, a gray hooded jacket and blue pants, with a black mask covering the suspect’s face.
