Guam – Superior Court Judge Vern Perz today [Thursday] said he would issue an order releasing $265-thousand dollars to cover what is owed to 172 disabled employees of Able Industries.
That money will be used to pay the Able employees who have not received pay-checks for the past 2 pay periods.
The court has taken control of more than $800-thousand dollars in Able funds pending settlement of a case brought against Able Industries. Former Board members of Able Industries have accused the current managers of mis-using funds, a charge which current management has denied.
Both sides declined comment following today’s hearing.
A status hearing in the case has been set for December 19th.
