Guam – 29 year old Paul Daniel Cepeda of Tamuning has been accused of firing a handgun at another vehicle in Dededo earlier this month.
GPD Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia says the incident occurred about 6pm on Wednesday July 2.
The driver of a Honda Civic told police he was stopped at the intersection of Mendioka Road and Alegeta Road when he noticed a man holding a handgun in a silver Prius behind him. The victim says the man fired 2 shots at his Honda. Police later recovered “what appeared to be a projectile on the floorboard” on the floor of the Honda.
3 weeks later, detectives with GPD’s Criminal Investigations Section followed up on some new leads and arrested Cepeda yesterday. No motive is mentioned and its not clear what new information led to the arrest.
Cepeda has been booked and confined for Attempted Murder, Possession and Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm without a Firearms Identification Card.

DEDEDO – Wednesday, July 02, 2014, 6:00pm, The owner of a Honda Civic reported that while at a stop position on Mendioka Road about to enter onto Alegeta Road, he noticed a silver vehicle Prius directly behind his vehicle. He noted that a male individual holding what appeared to be a handgun in his hand and fired about two gunshots towards the victims vehicle.
Officers from the Dededo Precinct Command made a check of the interior of the Honda Civic and found what appeared to be a projectile on the floorboard.
TIYAN – July 24, 2014, Detectives with Criminal Investigations Section followed up on information received regarding the incident and arrested:
Paul Daniel Cepeda/Male/Chamoru/29/Tamuning for Attempted Murder, Possession and Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm without a Firearms Identification Card.
Cepeda was Booked and Confined.
