GPD: Suspect in Fatal Hit & Run Turns Himself In

Guam – Guam Police have arrested 22 year old Michael Junior Mantanona Meno of Inarajan in connection with last night’s Hit & Run auto-pedestrian accident on Harmon Loop Road.

 

According to a release from GPD Police Officer A.J. Balajadia, 47 year old Jimena C. Baguyo of Harmon was killed about 10 pm last night [Thursday March 22] as she was trying to cross Harmon Loop Road by the soccer field  and Harmon Loop Sunset Garden.

Medical Examiner Dr. Arillio Espinola was called to the scene and pronounced her dead at 10:45 pm.

The vehicle that struck her fled the scene and Police issued an alert last night asking for the public’s help in locating a 1996 Nissan pickup.

This morning, Meno turned himself in.

Officer Balajadia says that Meno has been arrested for DUI, DUI with Injuries, Vehicular Negligence, Expired Drivers License, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Injuries, Leaving the Scene of an Accident without providing Personal Information, and Failure to Provide Assistance.  

He has been booked and confined.
