The Guam Police Department will be cutting the ribbon at their new Central Precinct in Sinajana next week
After two years of construction, the GPD Central Precinct Control Command will soon be operational in serving the community.
According to GPD Public Information Office Sergeant Paul Tapao, the facility will be a considerable upgrade from its predecessor, the Hagatna Precinct, as it will have amenities such as a state-of-the-art holding bay, as well as eco-friendly utilities.
As far as what the new facility will contribute, Tapao says that it will provide a considerable benefit to the community.
“I think the central precinct adds that viable opportunity for growth by outfitting the community with a precinct that can serve the needs and demands of our island,” Tapao said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 20 in Afame, Sinajana.
