GRMC adds three new specialists to their physician lineup

GRMC recently brought in a neonatologist, an emergency room physician and a hematologist/oncologist.

Guam – The Guam Regional Medical City is adding more specialists to their lineup of physicians.

The hospital recently announced the addition of three new physicians to their team: Neonatologist Dr. Katrina Ibonia, Emergency Room physician Dr. Yoshito Okumura and Oncologist Hematologist Dr. Sayuri Cheruvu.

Dr. Okumura hails from Nara Japan and also worked in emergency medicine at Chubu Tokushukai Hospital in Okinawa.

Dr. Ibonia is from the Philippines who came to Guam most recently from Lexington, Kentucky where she earned a neonatal perinatal medicine fellowship. Dr. Ibonia is also a certified instructor in neonatal resuscitation.

Dr. Cheruvu comes from India and moved to Guam from Dayton Ohio where she completed a fellowship in oncology hematology. Dr. Chevuru will be supervising the administration of the latest chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments at GRMC.
