Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) is hosting a series of activities for its employees this week, in honor of National Hospital Week. The hospital is also still celebrating National Nurses Week which lasts for two more days.
The celebration of National Hospital Week began with a beautifully decorated cake from GRMC’s healthcare partner, TakeCare. The cake was large enough to serve all GRMC employees who were grateful for the kind gesture from TakeCare.
Nothing goes better with cake than ice cream and in the afternoon, the GRMC Morale Committee bought Haagen-Dazs ice cream from Quality Distributors who gave a nice discount in honor of National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week. Dickerson & Quinn treated everyone at GRMC with ice cream bars and bottles of hand sanitizer to clean up afterwards.
GRMC will continue celebrating National Hospital Week by welcoming several of Guam’s popular food trucks to the premises during lunch. GRMC will be purchasing lunch plates for all the staff and will complement the great food with cupcakes.
On Friday, GRMC closes out National Hospital Week with a bag full of goodies for all employees and more ice cream generously donated by Dickerson & Quinn.
In a message to employees, GRMC President & CEO, Dr. Michael Cruz, stated: “As a team, we not only responded to Guam’s call for help to fight the pandemic, we also kept GRMC functioning at the same level of excellence people have come to expect. The Executive team and I are very proud of how our GRMC family rose to every occasion and conquered every challenge thrown their way over the past year. You are the backbone of GRMC and we would never have accomplished our goals without your perseverance and commitment to being the best.”
GRMC wishes all its staff, management, and executives a Happy National Hospital Week. We also wish the same to our healthcare partners in the community: GMH, Naval Hospital, and all medical clinics.
Hospital workers are special people and GRMC is proud to recognize them all. We would especially like to extend our thanks to our community for their support and for trusting us with their healthcare and needs.
