The Guam Regional Medical City will be discontinuing its urgent care services as part of its ongoing restructuring efforts.
According to a release from GRMC, the discontinuation of its urgent care services will be effective Sunday, June 23.
In the meantime, GRMC’s Emergency Department will remain open. In accordance with federal law, all patients requesting emergency services will still be entitled to a screening exam to assess for any medical emergencies.
However, as stated in the release, patients should be aware their insurance provider may not cover medical services provided in the ED that are determined to be non-emergency.
For the public’s convenience, GRMC says that urgent care services are provided at Guam Memorial Hospital, IHP Medical Group, American Medical Center, FHP Urgent Care Center, and the Guam Seventh-day Adventist Guam Clinic.
