The Guam Regional Medical City is also accredited by the Joint Commission.
Guam – The Guam Regional Medical City reached yet another milestone, achieving full certification from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.
GRMC says in a release that what this means for Guam is that Medicare and Medicaid recipients, as well as other federal and health insurance programs will now have full access to all of the hospital’s services.
GRMC says the US Department of Health and Human Services certified the hospital effective January 2016, which is also the same time GRMC achieved Joint Commission accreditation.
HHS Region 9 Director Melissa Stafford Jones visited the hospital yesterday. She was quoted as saying, “This certification constitutes a stamp of approval that we believe the hospital is operating at a level of quality and patient safety that meets our requirements for participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs.”
