Guam – It’s still a work in progress but construction on the Guam Regional Medical City is moving along and on target for completion by the end of this year.
Chief Operating Officer Gloria Long invited the media on a tour of the $215 Million facility this afternoon. The new private hospital will offer a number of services already available on island as well as specialized care and treatment not yet available locally provided through their team of 54 doctors. Cancer patients will also have access to specialized radiation therapy, with the purchase of $4.3 Million True Beam Linear Accelerator which Long expects to be commissioned by the end of November.
GRMC will also be opening the GRMC Specialty Care Center next week at another location, to provide specialty care to patients while the hospital is still under construction.
