A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon for the construction of the Central Community Arts Hall in Sinajana.
The Sinajana Mayors’ Office successfully applied for the project and will manage the new multipurpose facility.
Once completed, the facility will have a 2900 square foot multipurpose space, a small foyer, restrooms, and a second-floor control room.
With a capacity of approximately 100 persons, the Central Community Arts Hall will be a space ideally designed to host musical or theatrical performances and educational programs coordinated through the island’s NGOs and publicly-sponsored programs serving the island’s low to moderate-income individuals.
GHURA has a long history of supporting physical fitness by partnering to develop community and regional sports venues across the island.
GHURA director Ray Topasna says they are equally proud to support low to moderate-income communities with new access to a facility supporting the arts and education.
