GSSBL: Tatuha Twins Edge Out Kosrae Amari; Guahan Cush Net Tours Jets

Guam –  The Guam Seniors Spring Baseball League (GSSBL) in action on Sunday, July 28, at Paseo Stadium with two games. In the first game, the Tatuha Twins edged out the Kosrae Amari 7-5. Tatuha’s Ben Fama going 3-for-4, a triple, an RBI, and two runs. Kevin Mayberry was 2-for-2, a double, and a run scored. Kosrae’s Herman Paul was 3-for-4, a double, an RBI, and two runs.

In the second game, Guahan crushed the Net Tours Jets 21-9 taking the 10-Run rule win in five innings. The Guahan offense was highlighted in the top of the 5th when Eloy Fujikawa hit a three-run home run, followed by Bill Petite who hit a solo home run. Fujikawa was 4-for-5, a double, home run, six RBI, and two runs. Petite was 2-for-5, a double, home run, and two runs. Calvin Toves was 4-for-4, three doubles, four RBI, and three runs. For the Jets, Will Nault was 2-for-3, four RBI, and two runs. Pat Corpuz was 1-for-2, a double, and two runs.

The GSSBL continues with a double header on Monday night, July 29, 2013 starting at 6:00 p.m. at Paseo Stadium.
