More of the island’s manamko are up to date with technology in today’s world.
GTA held on May 15 another workshop, dubbed “Mobile Manamko”, which was designed for senior citizens in Guam at the Southern Regional Community Health Center in Inalahan.
GTA recognizes the importance of technology in today’s world and believes everyone should have the knowledge needed to navigate it which resulted in the telecommunication company to host its first-ever tech workshop for the elderly in February, and due to the high demand they have decided to reach out to the rest of the village.
Led by knowledgeable Smart team members who provide hands-on training and answer attendees’ questions a workshop down in Inalahan was conducted earlier this morning which covered topics, including basic smartphone skills, email and social media, and online safety.
Back during the March workshop, Manåmkos’ learned to use various smartphone features, such as making phone calls, sending text messages, using social media, and accessing the internet.
Members of the GTA Smart Center team and volunteers also provided tips on how to stay safe online and avoid scams
The workshops are free to attend and are open to Manåmko, ages 60 years and older.
