GTA launches 5G

5G, which delivers higher peak data speeds, ultra-low latency, larger network capacity, increased availability, and improved efficiency is now available to GTA postpaid subscribers.

The ultra-fast upgrade is free for postpaid customers.

With the new upgrade, customers can expect download and upload speeds 50% or higher. The increase in speed can vary depending on where you are.

According to Andrew Gayle–Chief Operating Officer of GTA, the new upgrade will also include an expansion of networks throughout the island,”We’re trying to have a balancing act between coverage and speed, so we’ve launched with more than a third of our sites with 5G capabilities. Our sites go from in the central area and in the northern area. We will be expanding those in the coming months and years.”

Areas that will be covered will be villages through Tamuning to Mangilao, including UOG and GCC areas.

In addition to the 5G upgrade, a special offer from GTA is currently ongoing.

Nate Denight–Vice President of Marketing says, “We’re offering a $200 Visa gift card with any new unlimited plan which includes 5G, so great time to upgrade to the brand new iPhone 14.”
