GTA presents checks to non-profit beneficiaries

GTA Marketing and Communications Specialist Michele Catahay-Perez said the magic of giving was the beginning of a new corporate social platform to promote youth empowerment and education and the campaign is set to carry throughout the year.

To wrap up its Magic of Giving campaign, GTA presented checks to three local nonprofit organizations at the GTA Experience Center.

It’s a tradition the company is hoping to continue.

The local telecom company launched the Magic of Giving in December, with the creation of PopSockets that represent each local non-profit organization honored — Harvest House, Sanctuary Incorporated, and the Rigalu Foundation.

Each organization received nearly $1,000 each from the sale of PopSockets in the name of each charity organization. They were also each given a $5,000 donation from GTA.

“Being a part of the magic of giving was such a big thing for us and so meaningful because we were able to tell their stories,” GTA Marketing and Communications Specialist Michele Catahay-Perez said.
