GTA has partnered with several small businesses to support frontline heroes through meals, care packages and donations for patients in isolation.
Starting today, the telecom company will be providing hot meals via food trucks on the GMHA site.
Partnering with Hafa Huli and A & L Foods, the company will be giving close to 800
meals over a two-week period to provide comfort and support to our frontline heroes.
Roland Certeza, GTA CEO states, “Our company is ready and willing to support our
community at any moment. During this pandemic, and despite the business challenges we face, our teams rallied behind our Team Up for Guam program. This is the time we need to continue to support our community in every way we can.”
Hafa Huli, a husband and wife team, stepped in for the first week to provide meals to GMHA heroes. They will be at GMHA from September 23rd to September 29th. Despite the challenges these companies are facing, they are placing their best foot forward and are showing up for our community.
In March, the local telecom company launched its Team Up for Guam corporate citizenship initiative to help groups during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To date, GTA has provided hundreds of hot meals to frontline workers at GMH, GRMC, DPHSS, along with first responders, assisted the University of Guam by providing smart phones and free service for students participating in distance learning, provided free wi-fi to the USS Theodore Roosevelt quarantine site, donated iPads and smart phones for patients in isolation at GMHA and GRMC, and provided non-perishables and necessities to 2,000 families through donations to four non-profit groups.
