Graduation ceremonies usually involve families and friends cheering for their graduate as they walk across the stage to receive their diploma. But on Tuesday, June 2 Guahan Academy Charter School seniors turned their tassels in their campus parking lot as part of the school’s Grad and Go Ceremony.
In compliance with social distancing measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Guahan Academy Charter School celebrated its 15 graduates by holding a ceremony on campus.
As each graduate walked to receive their diploma from school admin, they were cheered on with honks from their family cars decorated with shiny balloons, banners, and posters with their pictures on them.
And although this ceremony wasn’t conventional, the parents and guardians of each graduate embraced them tightly to congratulate their success.
On behalf of PNC, congratulations to the Class of 2020 and we wish you a bright future.
