Guam – One school bus rear-ended another along route 10-A this afternoon [Wednesday]. It happened at the stop light in front of Home Depot. The accident occurred about 1:45 this afternoon. One bus was carrying 44 students. The other bus had 52 aboard. All of the students on both buses were from JFK High School. And 2 students were taken to GMH with what officials said were minor injuries.
The 2 school buses involved were driven into the Home Depot parking lot where Guam Highway Patrol conducted their investigation. Some parents who heard about the accident rushed to the scene to check on their children.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, however GPD Highway Patrol Officer Ed Perez told PNC News that weather was not a factor because the accident occurred before this afternoon big rain storm.
