Guam- The Guam Amateur Boxing Federation successfully put on four matches this past Saturday at the Tamuning Gym.

The Guam Amateur Boxing Federation successfully completed four 3 round bouts on Saturday night. Boxers went through the registration and weigh-ins the morning of the fights and the punchers were catergorized in their different classes.  The only bout that didn’t go to the judges was between Jhun Jhun Ordonez and Hunter Cadisang.

This bout showcased a lot of punches being thrown by both fighters.  Ordonez did a better job of covering up his face with both fighters delivering very little shots to the body. In the first round a left hook found the button of Cadisang, sending him to the mat.  In the second round it was more of the same, with both fighters swinging for the faces.  Ordonez’s left hook would again find it’s mark, this time leaving Cadisang dazed on the mat.  Referee Cano Cruz felt Cadisang was done for the night and stopped the fight.

All the other bouts went to the judges, Nick Raval defeated Larry Saralu, Ricky Camp over Robin Caoli and George Quinata beat Ryan Eugenio.  The girls bout did not finish because Saipan’s Tara Namauleg lacked certain equipment.
