Guam, and America’s, First Born of 2011 Is a Baby Boy!

Guam – The first American born child of 2011 is Peter Gabriel Narciso who came into the world at 12:00:18 am Saturday morning at Guam Memorial Hospital [GMH].

GMH Spokesman Connor Murphy reports that Dr. Tom Shieh was on hand for the delivery which occurred 18 seconds into the New Year. The baby boy and his mother Cathy Narciso are doing fine.

‘Meet the Cadets’ Event to Be Held at Congresswoman Bordallo’s District Office

Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today announced a “Meet the Cadets” event that will be held on January 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Guam District Office. Students interested in attending a United States service academy will be given the opportunity to speak with current cadets and midshipmen from various service academies. Congresswoman Bordallo’s District Office is located at 120 Father Duenas Avenue, Suite 107, Hagåtña, Guam, 96910. Students seeking nomination to a service academy must submit a completed application packet to the District Office by December 31, 2010.



“This event is an excellent opportunity for interested students to personally meet and speak with cadets and midshipmen currently attending the service academies.  Students will be able to ask questions and learn firsthand from young men and women about life in the service academies,” Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo said today.
