Dozens of business owners from all over the island gathered in front of the new Chamber of Commerce building located in Hagatna, in anticipation of its opening.
The Guam Chamber of Commerce opened its new facility during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday along with an open house and facility tour. The building fronts Marine Corps Drive in Hagåtña and is owned by Ada’s Trust & Investment, Inc.
The new office features upgrades from its predecessor to increase efficiency within their operations. These include having their conference and meeting areas all on one floor, having multiple meeting rooms, as well as covered parking.
With their new building, Guam Chamber of Commerce President Cathy Castro said they can be more efficient in their work and push forward with their planned cooperative partnerships.
After the ceremony, the guests were invited inside for an open house. Castro conducted a tour starting with their new board room.
“We have a 20-member board so this is a great space to have and of course it has a really great view, so we’re happy about that too,” Castro said.
The tour ended with a display of their “open concept” office space just outside the meeting rooms.
The Guam Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit voluntary association of over 450 business and professional individuals and firms united in their desire to improve business and build a better social and economic community on Guam for the benefit of all who live on Guam.
