Guam Community College moves classes online

In response to Governor Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero’s declaration of PCOR1, Guam Community College will be transitioning Fall 2020 classes to a remote learning format beginning on Monday, August 17, 2020.

GCC’s Fall Semester started on Wednesday, August 12, with a mixture of in-person, hybrid, and online courses. However, the declaration of PCOR1 requires the move for both Secondary and Post-Secondary classes to be provided fully online until further notice.

Over the past several weeks, GCC faculty received training for online learning tools that prepared them to teach students remotely. This will make for a seamless transition to online instruction for most classes.

All GCC students currently taking classes on campus will be contacted by their instructors to transition to remote learning. Students who are unable to access their classes through remote learning are asked to notify their instructors so that special accommodations and considerations can be provided.
