Guam contractor among a consortium awarded $98M DoD contract

Silver Mountain Construction of Hagatna Guam is among a group of 5 companies that have been awarded 5 contracts totaling $98 million Department of Defense contract for various construction projects within the area of operations of Naval Facilities Engineering Command Hawaii.

The 5 companies are:

  • Silver Mountain Construction LLC, Hagatna, Guam

  • CCI Utility and Construction Services LLC, Honolulu, Hawaii

  • Dawson Enterprises LLC, Honolulu, Hawaii

  • GSI North America Inc., Honolulu, Hawaii

  • International Construction Inc.,* Kaaawa, Hawaii

The maximum dollar value of the contracts, including the base period and two option years for all five contracts combined. is $98,000,000.

No task orders are being issued at this time.

These five contractors may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contracts. The contracts are design-build, or design-bid-build with full plans and specifications.

According to the announcement on the website, the contractors will provide labor, supervision, tools, materials and equipment necessary to perform new construction, repair alteration and related demolition of existing infrastructure within the state of Hawaii.

Fiscal 2020 Navy operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $25,000 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Future task orders will be primarily funded by operations and maintenance funds.

The term of the contracts is not to exceed 36 months. The work is expected to be complete by April 2023.

This award was competitively bid on  the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website. Eight proposals were received.
