The Guam FestPac planning committee has already selected the official delegates who will represent the island at the upcoming 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture scheduled for June 2020 in Hawaii.
The 100-member delegation will represent Guam in the performing arts, literary arts, demonstrations, exhibits, and special events.
Anne Marie Arceo, head of the delegation, says the goal is to ensure that Guam’s presentation during the 2020 FestPac would showcase the work of the island’s finest artisans and reflect the rich cultural heritage of the CHamoru people through language, demonstrations and exhibits, song, dance, and other forms of art.
FestPac is held every four years. The event brings together artists and cultural practitioners from around the Pacific region for two weeks of festivity. Guam hosted the last festival in 2016.
