Guam DOE – Summer School Classes Begin MONDAY


Guam – The Guam Department of Education (“GDOE”) is set to begin summer school classes at thirty-seven (37) sites this coming Monday June 17. 

Elementary and Middle School programs will run for twenty-five (25) days and are scheduled to end on July 23. High School programs will run for thirty (30) days and will finish on July 30.

Breakfast will be provided for participating students at no charge and busing will be available for students in the elementary and middle school levels. The primary focus of the summer school program is to provide assistance to students that may be struggling in the areas of reading, language and math. Additionally, high school students will have the opportunity to recover credits they may have lost during the regular school year.

The summer school program is funded by the United States Department of Education through Title V-A of the Consolidated Grant.
