Guam received its COVID-19 vaccine allotment for April over the weekend.

According to Department of Public Health and Social Services director Art San Agustin, on April 3, DPHSS received 1300 single doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Then, on April 4, DPHSS received 25,700 total doses of Pfizer and 15,000 total doses of Moderna.

Guam is now halfway to its “Path to Half” goal of vaccinating half of the island’s 16 years old and above population by May 1.

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero recently said that Guam’s vaccination total is already more than 30,000, which is already half of the estimated 62,500 total vaccinations needed to reach the target of vaccinating half of the island’s adult population.

If the aim of the “Path to Half” initiative is attained, the governor has promised to reopen Guam tourism and allow travelers to come into Guam again.
