Guam Guard CST continues decontamination training

The Guam National Guard’s 94th Civil Support Team continued decontamination training for more than 30 individuals from various Guam agencies at the Guard’s Readiness Center, in Barrigada, today.

Personnel from the Judiciary of Guam, Department of Public Health and Social Services and service members from the GUNG attended the training to learn more about proper personal protective equipment, decontamination processes and discard of contaminated materials.

Throughout the month of March, before and during the COVID-19 pandemic on island, the 94th CST has worked with various government of Guam agencies and private business to train employees who may come in contact with infected individuals.

Along with the 94th CST’s support to the local community, a contingent of GUNG Soldiers and Airmen were placed on state active duty by direction of Guam Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero. These service members are currently providing security support to the Guam Police Department at various isolation sites throughout the island.
