The Guam National Guard has declared Jason Oscar Quintanilla Susuico as AWOL, or absent without leave.
Susuico, a sergeant at the Guam Guard, is a person of interest wanted by the Guam Police Department in an ongoing criminal sexual conduct investigation.
Maj. Josephine Blas, Guam Guard spokeswoman, told Andrea Pellacani on NewsTalk K57 that they are aware of GPD’s interest in Susuico.
“We were informed over the weekend. Since then, we have assisted GPD and we’ve been cooperating, but we have not been able to locate him, Blas said.
She added that Susuico, a full-time member of Guam National Guard, hasn’t reported for duty.
“We have no other information as of this time. So he was placed on AWOL status,” Blas said
The Guam Guard has various regulations and procedures it must follow with regard to AWOL, which can end in discharge.
But Blas said Susuico hasn’t been charged or arrested so they cannot take action at this time and will defer to GPD.
Susuico, 46, from Chalan Pago is wanted for questioning relative to an ongoing criminal sexual conduct investigation.
According to GPD, Susuico is considered to be armed and should not be approached.
Anyone who has any information as to the whereabouts of Jason Susuico is asked to call GPD dispatchers at 472-8911.
Information can also be submitted anonymously through the Guam Crime Stoppers tip line at guam.crimestoppersweb.com.
