The Guam National Guard today began escorting returning Guam residents to their homes for 14 days of quarantine, rather than to any of the GovGuam quarantine hotel facilities.
The Guard was deployed at the Guam International Airport for today’s arriving flights. And the Department of Public Works was called on to provide transportation for those unable to arrange to be picked up.
The Guard also escorted about 100 local residents still in GovGuam quarantine hotels back to their homes for the remainder of their quarantine.
Non-resident arriving airline passengers who are just visiting Guam are still subject to 14 days quarantine in a GovGuam quarantine hotel.
Governor Lou Leon Guerrero announced the revised quarantine regulations on Friday.
