In accordance with the Department of Defense’s new policy to expand benefits to authorized veterans, the Guam National Guard is allowing access to those eligible patrons beginning tomorrow at the Guard’s Readiness Center in Barrigada.

To access the Guard’s Army Air Force Exchange Services’ (AAFES) Gas Express and Shoppette, all those in possession of a Veterans Health Identification Card (VHIC) must have vetted their cards through the DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) at Andersen Air Force Base or Naval Base Guam’s Visitor Control Center.

According to Josephine Blas, Guam Guard public affairs officer, the Trusted Traveler Program is not in effect, therefore only the authorized VHIC card holder will be allowed to enter the facility.

Vehicles may be subject to search.
