Guam Guard takes lead to help GovGuam reopen

Soldiers and Airmen from the Guam National Guard were mobilized to help disinfect the common areas of essential government of Guam departments to ensure the public would be safe as they conduct business beginning Monday.

Immediately after Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero, commander-in-chief of the Guam National Guard, announced Pandemic Condition of Readiness 2 would take effect on Sunday, May 10, Soldiers and Airmen, from the Guam National Guard were mobilized to help disinfect the common areas of essential government of Guam departments to ensure the public would be safe as they conduct business beginning Monday.

“Under the command and support of Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio, the GUNG stands ready to serve our nation and our island and every person who calls Guam home,” said Maj. Gen. (GU) Esther J.C. Aguigui, The Adjutant General, Guam National Guard.
