Guam High School Seniors Unleash Creativity in Lip Dub Challenge; Awards Ceremony to Take Place in April

Guam – Nothing says ‘bragging rights’ like an all-island competition. This year the stations of the Sorensen Media Group (SMG) launched its first all-island Lip Dub competition.
WHAT: SMG sent out an invitation to private and public school Senior Classes to enter into the Lip Dub video competition. A lip dub is a type of video that combines lip synching and audio dubbing to make a music video.

High school classes that have participated now have their submitted videos online on the Power 98 website <>.  Videos will also be featured on FOX 6 starting March 15 in a 30-minute all-encompassing show. Judging of the competition will include guest judges and a texting poll. Winners will be announced in April.

WHERE: Award ceremony will be at the Agana Shopping Center, Center Court.

WHEN: Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 2 – 4 pm.

WHY: As a supporter of Guam’s arts and media, SMG pulled together its resources to create an island-wide competition for seniors who could use winning funds for their class or school’s purposes. Students and school officials that have participated are available for interviews to detail their creative process and execution of their music videos.
