Guam – In an effort to maintain safe, clean bus stops, Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense has partnered with the Islandwide Beautification Task Force to provide the students and residents of Agana Heights with an improved appearance and safety of their community bus stop.

The Adopt-A- Bus Stop program allows Government of Guam agencies an opportunity to make a difference in the community to help keep Guam beautiful and clean.

The unveiling of the bus stop, located adjacent to the Scottish Rite Temple in Agana Heights, is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

“We urge the public to join in on this movement by picking up litter, maintaining the bus stop and keeping the area around the bus stop free of debris,” stated Homeland Security Advisory, Pedro Leon Guerrero. “We ask the public to report any sight of graffiti or damages to the bus stops to the proper law enforcement agencies.”
