Guam – During Thursday’s Veterans Day ceremony, Guam’s newest license plate was unveiled to honor the islands fallen soldiers.

This Gold Star license plate will be made available to families of servicemen and women killed in the time of duty. Senator Tom Ada says these plates will give special recognition to Guam’s fallen sons and daughters.

Ada says, “So far 46 states around the country have these plates and Guam is the first US Territory. The design of the plate was put together with a task force that consists of the Chairman of Veteran Commission, the Advocate of Families of the National Guard, a Gold Star widow, Rev and Tax and Chair of the Legislative Committee.”

According to Ada, the Gold Star license plates will be made available before the end of the year.
