Guam – More and more humanitarian aid is heading to Saipan and this week a team of Guam doctors and nurses are providing free medical care to the survivors of Super Typhoon Yutu.

The volunteers include members of the Guam Medical Association and various other physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other personnel from different clinics in Guam.

GMA board member Dr. Hoa Nguyen says support staff from the Commonwealth Health Center are also assisting and providing medication to the patients.

The team is working out of a makeshift clinic at the RJ Commercial Building in Dandan and they are accepting anyone and everyone who walks through their doors–or in this case, their canopy.

Dr. Nguyen says it doesn’t matter if you have health insurance or not, everyone is welcome for free healthcare. They are also administering free immunization and there is no cost for the medication.

The hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for both adult and pediatric care.
