Although the construction of the building itself is about 97 percent complete the permanent exhibit on the second floor won’t be open until the fall.

Guam – Although the Guam Museum is set to open in time for FESTPAC it will not be entirely open.

According to a presentation made by Department of Chamorro Affairs Director Joseph Cameron to the Rotary Club of Guam the construction of the building itself is about 97 percent complete. The contractor plans to turn the building over to the Government of Guam by mid April. The government will then place a private company in charge of managing the museum’s operations. However the main exhibit space on the second floor won’t be open until the fall. This permanent exhibit will be titled “I Hinanaota” or our journey.
