Members of the Guam National Guard’s Task Force Response assisted the Barrigada Mayor’s office with distributing hundreds of packages of non-perishable goods, and fresh fruits and vegetables, to the people of Barrigada on Thursday, September 17.
The food, partially donated by local vendors and coordinated by the Government of Guam, assists villagers enduring economic hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity to help,” said 2nd Lt. Melvin Fanoway, officer in charge of the Soldiers. “It feels good to give back to your community.”
