Guam Q1 2014 CPI: Prices Dip -0.3% Compared to Same Period Last Year

Guam  – Prices on Guam dipped -0.3% in the 1st quarter of 2014 compared to a year ago.

However compared to the 4th quarter of last year, the prices, overall, were a half-percent higher.

Still, food prices were +2.2% higher, with pork up +10.2%  and the cost of  fresh vegetables is +9.9% higher compared to 2013 Q1 prices.

The cost of electricity is down 4.6% from last year, fuel prices are also down, -5.1%. but water, sewer and trash prices are up +9.5%.

New car prices are also down -3%, car maintenance down -13.2%, but water, sewer and trash prices are up +9.5%.
